Privacy Policy

Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how Zues Technologies Limited, the company that operates nzuuno, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the nzuuno app, the partner portal, or any related service. It applies to clients booking through the app and to Partners managing a listing through the portal.
Information we collect
Directly from you: account details (phone and/or email, legal name, a username you choose, city, date of birth to confirm you're 18+), the vibe preferences you select, and whatever you enter to make a booking. If you're a Partner: your listing details, compliance documents, and payout details. Automatically: which listings you view or vote on, and a push-notification device token if you allow notifications. The messages you send to venues, performing artistes and travel companies through nzuuno's chat are kept too, for 12 months. From our payment gateway: confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference for it, never your full mobile money PIN or equivalent credentials. We deliberately don't collect your contacts, precise GPS location, camera roll, or microphone access. If you join the launch list on nzuuno.com, we keep the email address or phone number you give us, and whether you want to book or run a business.
How we use your information
To create and run your account and verify you meet the age requirement; process bookings, hold escrow, and release payouts; personalize what you see in Discover; send booking-related notifications and respond to support; investigate reports and enforce our Terms; and keep the Service secure. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it to show you third-party advertising. We use launch-list details only to tell you when nzuuno launches, and to contact business owners about listing. Ask us to remove you at any time and we will.
How we share your information
With other people using nzuuno: your username (not your legal name) appears on any review you write. With the Partner you're booking, limited to what they need to fulfil it, which is your username and a booking number, plus, for a table, the name you give for the reservation (an event organiser sees ticket counts only, and door staff see only the username on a ticket when they scan it); with our payment gateway, to process a payment or payout; with the service providers who help us run nzuuno (authentication, email delivery, database and server hosting, image hosting, and push-notification delivery), each restricted to their function; when the law requires it; and, if nzuuno is ever acquired or merged, as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.
Where your data is kept
nzuuno's servers and the services that help us run it (authentication, database hosting, image hosting, push notifications and our payment gateway) can be in countries other than Uganda, including in Europe and the United States. When your data is handled there we ask these providers to protect it to the standard Ugandan data-protection law requires. By using nzuuno you agree to your data being handled in this way.
Partners' documents
A Partner's proof document can include a copy of an ID. It is stored privately, is used only to check who is behind a listing and whether they may list and be paid, and is seen only by nzuuno's review team. It is kept while the listing exists and afterwards for as long as the law or a dispute requires, and then deleted. We never show it to clients or to other Partners.
If something goes wrong
If a breach of our systems puts your personal data at real risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires, and say what you can do to protect yourself.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Deleting your account removes your profile data; some booking and payment records may be kept longer where we have a legitimate reason to. Chat messages are kept for 12 months and then deleted, and deleting your account deletes the conversations you are in. Our team can read a conversation only if someone has reported it.
Your rights
You can access the data we hold about you, correct it (most of this is available directly in Account settings), delete your account (Profile → Security → Delete account, or see how to delete your account at nzuuno.com/delete-account), object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with Uganda's National Personal Data Protection Office if you believe we've mishandled your data. For anything not available in-app, contact us.
Data security
We use encrypted connections throughout the app and portal, and we verify your identity against our authentication provider's own certificates rather than storing passwords ourselves for phone-based accounts. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of anything sent over the internet.
Children's privacy
nzuuno isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we'll delete it if we learn we have.
Cookies
The web partner portal may use cookies or local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. The mobile app doesn't use browser cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
